About

Art Dolls and Sculpture

I create figurative sculptures that can also be looked at as art dolls.  All are hand sculpted originals.  I have used a wide variety of materials over the years. Currently, my work is created by needle felting wool roving over a wire armature and quilt batting. I love the warmth and life this brings to my work.

I also do a little bit of gell plate monoprinting. I create one-of-a-kind botanical prints with plant materials, and photo-transfer images of altered images of my sculptures

Scroll through my “Current Gallery” and “Past Works” and you will gain insight into the journey my work has taken stylistically, and in an exploration of different media.

Though always an artist and creator, I was originally a biology and science educator. I live and North Carolina, and am a member/owner of the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts in Hillsborough, NC.
